Joe Lee Davis, 76, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home.

A lifetime resident of Grandview, Joe was the son of the late James A. and Dora Norris Davis. He was the owner of Davis Construction Company for over 40 years. Joe was a member of Mercy Baptist Church in Grandview. He loved all sports especially UT football and he enjoyed watching Westerns.

Joe was preceded in death by his brothers Jim, John, Billy and Wendell Davis and sisters Beulah Cunningham and Leona Barger.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Jo Ann Davis of Grandview, daughters Teresa Daniels of Grandview and Jan (Gary) Nance of Spring City, brother Tom Davis of Dayton, sister Martha Davis of Dayton, sister-in-law June Schbert of Rockwood, grandchildren Joey Daniels, Josh Daniels, Lee Nance and Eli Nance and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
