Joann Edwards, 79, of Lakesite , went to be with her Lord, Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Joann was born in Jellico, TN, on April 10, 1942 to W. B. and Lenora Chamberlain.  She married Lonnie Dennis Edwards (Den) the love of her life on May 9, 1959.  They raised six children together and were married for 50 years before Den passed away in 2010.

Joann was truly an extraordinary, gifted, Renaissance Woman.  Joann excelled in Household and Financial Management (she had to be with six children), Graphic Artist Extraordinaire, accomplished Songwriter, Album Producer and Musician (Organist), Writer of Prose, Poetry and Line, Master Seamstress and Quilter, Business Entrepreneur, Mentor and Superior Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

She is survived by two sisters (Brenda Edwards and Rachel Fugate) and one brother (Randall Chamberlain), six children, Lonnie (Gayle) Edwards, Diane (Todd) Jordan, Darrell (Arlene) Edwards, Douglas (Tatyana) Edwards, Lisa (Gerald) Matthews, and Randall Edwards; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Dennis Edwards, and parents William B. and Leora Chamberlain.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Spring City Memorial Gardens with Pastor Caleb Bolton and Colton Kennedy officiating.
