Jo Ann Powell, 80, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at her home.

A longtime resident of Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Estle E. Standifer and Juanita Morgan Standifer Reinhardt, Jo Ann and her husband, John, moved from Morristown, Tennessee to the Spring City community in 1977.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Spring City , the Ruth Sunday School Class and also served on the kitchen committee. Jo Ann was a volunteer at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center, the S.C.A.N. Program and the Meals on Wheels Program.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years John Powell of Spring City, her children Ann Scoggins of Spring City, Estle A. Powell of Garland , Texas and Carol (David) Hatela of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, sister Betty Jane "B. J." (Wyndell) Black of Marietta, Georgia, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Satur day, September 21, 2019 at 3:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev . Vernon H. Tannahill and Rev. Luke Morris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Satur day from 1:00 p m to 3:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home.
