Jewell Edwards, 70, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her home.

A lifetime resident of Rhea County, Jewell was the daughter of the late Lester and Clara Garrison Jolley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and attending church. Jewell was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Hartman and Juanita Osborne and infant brother Paul Jolley.

Jewell is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis Edwards of Spring City, sons Ricky Edwards of Spring City, Greg (Karen) Edwards of Evensville and Jeff (Sonya) Edwards of Spring City, sisters Betty Bare, Rozella Godsey and Edna Keylon all of Spring City and Mary Sue Parson of Monterey, Tennessee, grandchildren Jared Edwards, Sarah Edwards and Ethan Edwards.

Funeral services are Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
