Jerry T. Smith 78 died Saturday May 23, 2020 in Chattanooga after a brief illness.

A lifetime resident of Spring City, Jerry was born on November 22, 1941, the son of the late Clifford H. and Sallie Walker Smith Sr.  He was a graduate of S pring City High School. Jerry served his country as a member of the National Guard. He had been t he owner and operator of Smith's Ambulance Service, Jerry's Exxon, Jerry's Towing and most recently Jerry's Service Cente r. Jerry was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his daughter Jeralyn Smith Latshaw, his sister Velma Henley and his brothers Marion, Earl and Junior Smith.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years Lynda Garrison Smith and his son St e ve Smith both of Spring City and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date in Spring City Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Spring City United Methodist Church, PO Box 158, Spring City, TN  37381.
