James Robin "Bob" Hood, 81, departed his earthly home in Lenoir City, Tennessee for his heavenly home on Tues day, July 17, 2018.

Known to many of his friends as "Bob", he was a 1955 graduate of Red Bank High School.  Bob was employed by CF Industries in Chattanooga for 22 years prior to moving to Lenoir City.  He was employed at ORNL in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for 20 years prior to his retirement in 2000.  Bob was known as a "professional tinker" after his retirement.  His mind was always fixing or "modifying" things from old cars to woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Marjorie Mayberry Hood.

Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine Rhodes Hood; son Robin and wife Stephanie; grandsons Archer and Beau Hood; sister Beth and husband Jarvis Anthony; niece Nicole Barbour and family of Greenville, South Carolina and numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Welch Family Cemetery.  The funeral procession will depart from Vaughn Funeral Home, 150 New Lake Road in Spring City, Tennessee at 12 noon.
