James C. Gibson Sr age 94 of Nashville , Tennessee passed a way on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
He was born on
May 10, 1928
in Maryv
ille, TN to
the late
Otha Abraham Gibson
Sr
and Dannie Webb Gibson.
Mr. Gibson was a veteran of the Naval Air Corps and worked as a plant engineer for many years at Ford Motor Company in Nashville. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Nashville. Jim loved fishing, hunting and illustrating the "Hey God" children's books written by his wife. He will be missed by his family and friends for his kindness and sense of humor.
Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his wife Roxie Cawood Gibson, son James C. (Jimmy) Gibson, Jr and siblings Helen Gibson Kerr, Ina Juanita Gibson Gerber, Hilda Willodene Gib son Mills, Otha Abraham Gibson, Jr, Mar garet Gibson Young, William John Gibson, and Daniel Cla y Gibson.
Survivors include his grandson, Aidan and daughter-in-law Robin of Cookeville and several nieces and nephews.
A private g raveside ser vice will be held at the Spring City Cemetery .
The family would like to especially thank his wonderful caregivers, Amedisys Hospice/Hom e Health and friends who helped with his care.
