Helen Moyer Norris, 77, formerly of Spring City, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at the NHC – Oak Ridge.

The daughter of the late Lloyd Conley and Lillian Masoner Moyer, Helen moved from Spring City to the Oak Ridge community in 1958. She was a graduate of Spring City High School, attended Tennessee Wesleyan and graduated from Draughon's Business College. Helen retired from the Oak Ridge National Lab after 32 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Helen enjoyed her friends and her dogs.

She is survived by her sister Evelyn "Lynn" Gibson of Oak Ridge, nephews Jeff (Melissa) Gibson of Knoxville and Joey (Susan) Gibson of Paducah, Kentucky, dear friend Nancy Byrd of Oak Ridge, great nieces Ashley Gibson of Lakeland, Florida and Megan and Emma Gibson both of Paducah, Kentucky and many friends.

At Helen's request, her ashes will be buried in the family plot in the Spring City Cemetery during a private service.

Her family would like to thank the staff of NHC for their kindness and compassion and their loving care of Helen during her illness.
