Helen S. Cecil , 96 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday , November 18, 2020 at the Golden Years Retirement Resort .

Born on June 13, 1924 in Winfield, Tennessee, Helen was the daughter of the late Erza and Florence Dunaway Simpson.  In 1965, she and her husband, Robert, moved from Ohio to the Spring City community.  Helen loved to cook, do cross-stitch, nee dlepoint and work in her garden. She was a past member of the American Legion Post #203 Auxiliary . Helen was a member of the Texas Grove Baptist Church in Evensville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Cecil, brothers George, Kenneth, Cellis, H. G. and Ray Simpson and sister Genev e a Simpson.

Survivors include her sons Robert E . ( Nancy ) Cecil, Lennie (Patsy) Cecil and Dennis (Robin) Cecil all of Spring City and Dean ( Carol ) Cecil of Jonesboro, Georgia, sister Louise Norris of Chatsworth, Georgia, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Satur day, November 21 , 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Texas Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Huskey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Satur day from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church.
