Hazel C. Tinsley age 96 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on January 21, 1928 in Binghamton, New York to the late Ray and Hazel Adams Spooner and has been a resident of this area since 1989. Hazel enjoyed sewing and jewelry making. She also liked geology and enjoyed looking for geological samples. Hazel was of the Protestant faith.

Hazel is also preceded in death by her husband Royal Tinsley Jr., her sister Mary DeGroat , and her brother James Spooner.

Survivors include her daughter Rhonda Tinsley of Spring City, Tennessee; and her niece Karen Ricker.

There will be no services or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Rhea County Animal Shelter Alliance, 9118 Back Valley Road, Evensville, Tennessee 37332 in her memory.
