Hazel Marie Reed Monday age 89 of Spring City, Tennessee died Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her daughter's home in Spring City. Hazel was born on May 6, 1933 to the late Howard and Lona Frances Garrison Reed. She was born and raised in Grandview, Tennessee and moved to Spring City in the mid 70's. Hazel attended Grandview Elementary and Spring City High School. She worked in the sewing industry for 40 years. Hazel loved gardening and working in her yard and flowers. She loved going places she had never been before and in her later years enjoyed traveling with her daughter and son-in-law. Hazel was a member of Reed's Chapel Church of God in Grandview.

Hazel was also preceded in death by her husband Grover Cleveland Monday Jr, daughter Fran Crow, son Gary Lee Monday, sister Anna Mae Jewett, and brothers Ray, Russell, and Ralph Reed.

Survivors include her sons Thomas and Ron Monday both of Graysville, Tennessee and John ( Delorice ) Monday of Spring City, Tennessee; daughter Brenda (Theodore) Hayes of Spring City, Tennessee; son-in-law Weldon Crow of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister Bonnie (Alvin) Galloway of Grandview, Tennessee; grandchildren Chris Fuller, Lisa (John) Garrison, Kim (Tommy) Powell, Toni Rozier , Amanda (Dustin) May, Jonathan Monday; great grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Garrison, Tommy Lee Powell, Savannah Bowen, and Easton May.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Quinton Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27 , 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Vaughn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Reed's Chapel Church of God, 1618 Happy Top Road, Grandview, Tennessee in her memory.
