Harley L. Smith, 79 died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Rhea Medical Center .

Born October 9, 1940, Harley was a lifetime resident of Grandview.  He was a graduate of Spring City High School.  Harley was a logger and worked in the timber industry for many years.  He liked to play cards and restore cars.

Harley was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Carrie Sherrill Smith and his wife Bertha Smith.

Survivors include his longtime companion Bertha "B.J." Jenkins of Grandview , children Darlene Long and Diane Phillips both of Rockwood and Jimmy (Dixie) Smith of Spring City, brother Lonnie Smith of Grandview, sister Patricia Rector of Spring City, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
