Glenn Reed, 85 , died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his residence .

Born in Dayton, Tennessee on June 11, 1934, Glenn was the son of the late Charles A. and Lucy Arnold Reed.  He was a graduate of Rhea Central High School where he excelled in football and was voted most handsome 4 years in a row.  Glenn retired from DuPont after 38 years of service.

He loved Tennessee football and the Atlanta Braves.  Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He devoted his life to his children and grandchildren.  Glenn was a simple man.  He was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.

Glenn was preceded in death by his stepmother Velma Reed, grandson Jeffrey Sean Reed and great grandson Lanston Bianculli.

Survivors include his children Jeff (Jan) Reed of Evensville, Carmen (Steve) Price, Billynthia (Danny) Hill and Laura (Matthew) Murphy all of Spring City, Joy (Butch) Bloodworth of Georgia, Scarlette (Wade) Kilgore and Shane Reed both of Chattanooga, Mark (Teresa) Pierce of Dayton, brother Larry (Jacqueline) Reed of Dayton, grandchildren Jessica (Tanner) Gothard, Shea (Brad) James, Leah (Nathan) Thompson, Caleb (Savannah) Price, Cassidy (Jake) Burnette, Jacob (Tamika) Bianculli, Lee Hill, Austin, Brody, Chloe and Crew Murphy, Scott Smiddy, Zona Thrash, Kizah Kilgore and Sarah Olds and great grandchildren Allie, Wyatt and Emeri Gothard, Blake, Hannah, and Cooper James, Paisley and Cora Thompson, Scarlett and Lillian Bianculli, Weston Burnette, Brycen and Shirae Smiddy, Grace and Xander Thrash, Landry Brown and Eamon Olds and several nieces and nephews.

Due to rising health concerns and the safety of the community there will not be a public visitation and service.  A private graveside service will be in the Buttram Cemetery.  A public celebration of life for Glenn will be announced at a later date.
