Ginny Weir, 86 of Spring City died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her home.

Born on October 16, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, Ginny was the daughter of the late Chick and Iola Buffington Lanctot.   She worked as a secretary for the Troy, Michigan Department of Education before retiring in 1994.  Ginny and her husband, Bill, moved from Troy to the Spring City community in 1994.  Ginny enjoyed gardening, crafting, music and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia .  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spring City.

Ginny was preceded in death by her son Rodney Weir, her sister Nancy Rock, her brother Frank Lanctot, her infant brother Jerry Lanctot and her grandson Johnny Moore.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years Bill Weir of Spring City, her daughters Vicky (Randy) Grabitz of Grandview and LeAnne (Chris) Weir of Wate r ford, Michigan, her grandchildren Jasmine Larson of Lapeer, Michigan and Brittney Moore of Waterford, Michigan an d her great grandchildren Rebekka Larson, Kitrina Larson, Makenzie Gott, Peyton Gott and Adalyn Rouch.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Price officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
