Georgia A. Locke age 90 of Evensville, Tennessee died on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County in Dayton.

She was born on July 12, 1934 to the late George and Elsie Stinnett Mickel and was a lifetime resident of the area. Georgia attended school in Rhea County. She worked at Chevron Manufacturing. Georgia enjoyed cooking and working in the yard. She also loved to play Bingo. Georgia was a member of Spivey United Methodist Church in Dayton, Tennessee.

Georgia is also preceded in death by her husband Marshall N. Locke, her son Terry Lynn Sneed, her brothers Kenneth, Clarence, Clyde, and Marvin Mickel, and her sisters Mytrice Mickel and Melrose Mickel.

Survivors include her step son Gary Locke of Evensville, Tennessee; her sister Willie Mae Swafford of Dayton, Tennessee and Lois (Jeff) Coppinger of Graysville, Tennessee; her brothers Felix Mickel of Evensville, Tennessee, Bob (Janice) Mickel, Jim (Sandra) Mickel, Ricky (Yvonne) Mickel, and Sam (Virginia) Mickel all of Dayton, Tennessee, and Gene Mickel of Whitwell, Tennessee; her grandson Shannon (Toni) Sneed of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; her two great grandchildren Tayler Mae and Wren Sneed; and her special friendPansy Dillard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Mickel officiating. Interment will follow in Buttram Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Vanderwall Funeral Home.
