George William Griffith, 67, died Thursday, April 23, 2020 at his home.

Born in Bridgeport, Alabama on July 26, 1952, George was the son of the late George Estil and Julia Rowland Griffith.  He was retired from TVA as an electrician and was a member of IBEW #175 Chattanooga. George and his wife, Carol moved from South Pittsburg, Tennessee to the Spring City community 12 years ago. He was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church in South Pittsburg.

George was preceded in death by his sister Emma Lynn Goff.

Survivors include his wife Carol Griffith of Spring City, daughters Julia Ann Griffith and Jessica Carol Griffith both of Spring City, sister Elizabeth Mountain of Hennagar, Alabama, brother John Robert Griffith of South Pittsburg and grandchildren Jacob Allen Griffith, Alexavier William Griffith and Kingston Jacob Griffith.

There will be no visitation or services.  A memorial service will held at a later date.
