George Ed Goss, 91 of Spring City died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Born on May 15, 1930, George was a lifetime resident of the Rhea County area.  George enjoyed fishing and sightseeing. He also loved reading Louis L'Amour books.  George was of the Baptist faith.

George as preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Thurman Goss, his parents Beecher and Dossie Morris Goss , his brothers Woodrow Goss and Wilson Goss, his sister Jackqulene Reed and his stepchildren Rhonda Alred and Floyd Edwards.

Survivors include his wife Glendia Edwards Goss of Spring City, his grandchildren Johnny (Paula) Goss II of Spring City and Connie (Michael) Roberts of Tellico Plains, TN, his sisters Verna Wright , Frances Goss and Maxine Thomas all of Spring City, several great grandchildre n and great-great grandchildren, his stepchildren Linda Christopher of Rockwood and Anita Edwards of Harriman and brother -in-law Donald Gibson of Cleveland, TN,

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Johnson Stand Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
