George B. Allen, 91, formerly of Spring City, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Heritage Senior Living Home in Dayton.

Born on August 2, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee , George was the son of the late Braxton and Clara Vervilla Ingilis Allen Sr. .  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from TVA as an assistant superintendent.  George liked the outdoors a nd enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spring City and the Soddy Daisy Knife Club.

He was preceded in death by his son Gary Allen .

Survivors include his wife V irginia Louise Allen of Dayton and son Brack Allen of Tennessee Ridge, TN

George's cremains will be buried in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
