Genevieve "Ginny" Hall Hatcher, 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia and formerly of Spring City, Tennessee died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee.

Born in Graham County, North Carolina, Ginny was the daughter of the late John Rellie and Betty Ditmore Hall. She was a graduate of Robbinsville High School and formerly worked for the FBI in Washington, D. C. While working for the FBI, Ginny met and married her husband, Martin, who was also working for the FBI. She and Martin moved to Spring City in 1954 during which time she worked at Robinson's Drug Store. In 1964, they moved to Paducah, Kentucky returning in 1965 to the Spring City community where Ginny worked for Volunteer Energy Cooperative until 1975. She was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church, the Felecia Sunday School Class and Spring City Chapter #209 Order of Eastern Star.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Martin Bennett Hatcher.

Survivors include her sister Virginia (Lowen) Dockery of Hiawassee, Georgia, special nieces Sandy (Tony) Wood of Hiawassee, Georgia and Jan Dockery of Murphy, North Carolina and two great nieces Ginia (Harlan) Magers and Kristy (Cody) Kell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
