Geneva Farris, 78 of Hastings, Michigan died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Grandview, Tennessee ; surrounded by her loving family on the property where she was born on February 25, 1944.

Geneva was the daughter of the late Ralph Anderson Garrison and Elsie Mae James Garrison. She and her family lived in Ohio before moving to Michigan in 1969. Geneva worked as a nursing assistant her entire  career. She enjoyed collecting antiques and g arden ing , especially mushrooming. Geneva loved spending time with her family and attending activities with her grandchildren.

Geneva was also preceded in death by her brothers Max and Terry Garrison and her sister Linda Sue Rugg.

Survivors include her husband William Farris of Hastings, her children Connie (Roger) Hill of Grandview, Kevin (Kathy) Farris of Hastings and Tammy Swearingen of Grandview, her brothers Kenny (Sherry) Garrison of Battle Creek, Michigan and Gary (Diane) Garr ison of Crossville, Tennessee, her sister Pam (Rocky) Mays of Tullahoma, Tennessee, her 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Grandview with the Rev. Nick Hill officiating.  There will be no visitation.
