Gale Hurley 75 of Rockwood, formerly of Spring City died Saturday , July 28, 2018 at her residence. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Gale was raised by her grandparents; the late Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Tidwell. Gale was retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge and had also had various jobs in her lifetime; including owning a bridal shop, being a licensed hairdresser and an interior decorator.  She was a member of the Christian Church in Alabama.

Gale was preceded in death by her grandson Tyler Floyd Hurley.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years Marion C. "Buddy" Hurley of Rockwood, son Randy (Jeri) H urley of Rockwood, daughter Cathy (Chet) Burgess of Knoxville, brothers Henry Privett , Steven Privett and Frank Privett all of New Hampshire and grandson s Riley and Colby Burgess and Kristopher Hurley .

There will be no visitation or services.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for the special loving care given to Gale .
