Freeman Burchard Woody, 72, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center.

A lifetime resident of Spring City , Burchard was the son of the late Arthur and Anna Maude Knox Woody.  He formerly worked for the City of Dayton Parks and Recreation as an equipment operator. At one time, Burchard was active in the Wolf Creek Fi re Department.  He loved NASCAR, wrestling and fishing .  Burchard was a member of the Texas Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn J. Woody, stepdaughters Lisa Ezell and Joy Swafford, brothers Glenn, Charlie, Clarence, Herbert, Leonard, Eugene , James and Larry Edward Woody Sr. and sister s Betty Jo Kerley and Edna Woody .

Survivors include his children Kim Ezell of Spring City, Angie (Darryl Curry) Woody of Spring City, Stacia (Edsel) Parnell of Evensville and Michael H ale of Spring City, special nephew Carl Woody of Spring City, brother Joe Woody of Dayton, sisters Wanda Lewis of Evensville and Diane Powers of Spring City, grandchildren Freddie Locke, Aaron Roach and Sylvia Pickle and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednes day, November 21 , 2018 at 3:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev . Kelly Goins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednes day from 1:00 p m to 3:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home.
