Franklin "Hoochie" Thompson, 74 died Monday, November 25, 2019 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A lifetime resident of Spring City, Hoochie was the son of the late Samuel Oscar and Parthenia Cox Thompson.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Hoochie was a self-employed contractor working in the construction industry for many years. He loved to play cards and pool and watch Westerns.  Hoochie was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Roy Thompson, Junior Thompson, Eugene Thompson and Kermit Thompson and sisters Hazel Smith and Rhoda Turner.

Survivors include his wife Ernestine T hompson of Spring City, daughter Kimberly (William) Gillespie of Spring City and brother James (Donna) Thompson of Spring City.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Spring City Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
