Floyd W. Rothwell age 79 of Lupton City , Tennessee died on Monday, April 17, 2023 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was born on October 12, 1943 to the late Herman and Carrie Gill Rothwell. Floyd attended Hixson High School. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Floyd worked and retired from Dixie Yarn. He was an avid reader, loved to watch westerns, and work crossword puzzles. Floyd was of the Baptist faith.

Floyd is also preceded in death by his wife Billie Eldridge Rothwell, daughters Victoria Rothwell and Donna Cannon, his brothers Clyde, Donald , and Clayton Rothwell, and his sisters Bonnie Sneed, Dorothy Thurman, Beulah McKinney, and Frances Ostdika.

Survivors include his brother Gerald Rothwell of Dayton, Tennessee ; his sister Janice Clayton of Georgetown, Tennessee; his grandchildren Victoria (Brandon) Kilgore and Boe Cannon both of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his great grandchil d Raylan Kilgore; several nieces and nephews ; and his son-in-law Glen C annon of Chattanooga, Tennessee .

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Jewell officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, Tennessee with graveside military honors . The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
