Floyd James Barnwell, 72, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at his residence.

Born in Crossville, Tennessee, Floyd was the son of the late Arthur and Georgia Pippin Barnwell.  He was a mechanic and retired from Crescent Hosiery Mill.  Floyd and his wife Katherine had lived the Spring City community for ten years.  He loved to hunt and fish.  Floyd was of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his brothers John Ed Barnwell, P. J. Barnwell and Gilbert Barnwell and sisters Ella May Potter, Elsie Miller, Tina Johnson and Louenna Campbell.

Survivors include his wife Katherine Barnwell of Spring City, son James Lynn Barnwell of Ten Mile, Tennessee, daughters Betty Massey and Charlotte Lankford of Spring City, brother Irvine Barnwell of Crossville and three grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or services.
