Faye Smith, 82, died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Tennova Medical Center Turkey Creek in Knoxville .

Born on November 9, 1937, Faye was a native of Spring City, graduating from Spring City High School.  She traveled the world and came back to live in Spring City in 1977.  Faye retired from TVA in 1997.  She loved to cook and was a voracious reader ; l oving mysteries and westerns.  Faye loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of the St. Clair Baptist Church in Spring City.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents Paul S. and Eula Mae Cunningham Agee, her daughter April Brown and her sister Patsy Hester.

Survivors include her husband Eddie Smith of Rockwood, her children Robert (Glenna) Morton of Spring City, Scott (Lelia) Morton of Murfreesboro, Jeremy (Melissa) Smith of Chattanooga and Constance Smith of Chattanooga, her sister Mae Wells of Lenoir City, her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Satur day, March 7 , 2020 at 11:00 a m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Newby and Rev. Chris Morton officiating.  Interment will be in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Fri day , March 6, 2020 from 5:00 p m to 8:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home .
