Ernestine H. Dodson, 85, died Sun day, March 10, 2019 at Erlanger Medical Center

A lifetime resident of Spring City, Ernestine was the daughter of the late Ernest B. and Maude Monroe Hicks.  She was a graduate of Rhea Central High School and was a hairdresse r. Ernestine owned and operated Tin e 's Beauty Shop for over 25 years. She loved her family and also loved to sew. Ernestine was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Spring City and the Red Hat Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack K. Dodson Sr., daughter Jo White, grandson Dillon Michael Dodson, great granddaughter Hope Anne Dunn, brother Coy Hicks and sister Wanda Faye Harvey.

Survivors include her son Jack Kenny Dodson Jr. of Chattanooga, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Campbell and Rev. Kenneth Elkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
