Ellen M. Scott, 83 of Spring City died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman.

Born on December 3, 1938 in Flat Top, West Virginia, Ellen was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Mansfield Matherly.  She was a graduate of Spanishburg High School in Spanishburg, West Virginia.  Ellen was an "Avon Lady" for almost 50 years.  She enjoyed Tennessee football and basketball and especially loved to be with her family.  Ellen was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Spring City.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband Billy William Davis, her second husband Robert "Bob" LeRoy Scott, her sons Ron Davis, Rick Davis and Jimmy Davis, her brother Roger Matherly and her sister Doris Lockhart.

Survivors include her children Steve (Diane) Davis, Jerry Davis and Jennifer (Robert) Burns all of Spring City, daughters-in-law Donna Marie Davis of Spring City , Donna Gail Davis and Jill Davis both of Crossville, her brother John (Cathy) Matherly Jr. of Virginia, her sister Patricia Hall of West Virginia, her 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaugh n Funeral Home with Rev. Colby Bridwell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
