Dorothy H. Brewin age 91 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Golden Years Retirement Resort in Spring City.

She was born on July 11, 1932 in Mantua Township, New Jersey to the late Clifton and Edith Wood Hitchner. Dorothy grew up on a farm in New Jersey and graduated from Glassboro High School. She met and married her late husband of 69 years Robert Leroy Brewin and raised her family all over the U.S. while he served in the U.S. Navy. Dorothy has lived in this area since 1977 after moving here from New York. She loved nature, often times walking and hiking. Dorothy enjoyed fashion, shopping, and spending time with her family. She was of the Methodist faith.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother Earl Hitchner, and her grandson Jonathan Sklar.

Survivors include her children Patricia (Fred) Sklar of Newport Richey, Florida, Bob (Roxanne) Brewin of Lisbon Fall, Maine, and Diana (Scott) Heath of Spring City, Tennessee; her eight grandchildren; and her six great grandchildren.

A private service and visitation will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home. She will be interred next to her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
