Donna Jo Allen age 77 of Spring City, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2023 .

She was born on July 30, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA to John William and Angelina ( B elaseo ) Allen an d grew up in Redondo Beach, CA. In 1963 Donna graduated Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach , CA . She also lived in Apple Valley near the Roy Rogers Ranch and Torrence, CA before moving to Spring City . Donna worked for Northrop Grumman in Hawthorne, CA where she was a highly regarded Inspector and was recognized with an award for dedicated attendance. Her last employment was with Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. of Hawthorne, CA. Donna was recognized with a plaque for over 20 years of service .

Donna was a woman of strong faith. If you called her, she would tell you about her latest Bible studies and prayers. She was devoted to reading her Bible every day. Most recently, she was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Crossville, TN. She loved the Lord and sharing her God-given gifts with others. She was one of the best crochet artists ever and brought smiles to so many people young and old with her creative works. Her crochet work of the Lord's Prayer is a true masterpiece. She donated crocheted hats to the Rhea County Sheriff's Department frequently. In her younger days, sh e was an active square dancer and instructor where she earned recognition and many awards . Donna loved to write poetry, especially for special occasions. Most of her poetry was about witnessing the Love of Christ to others.

Don na is preceded in death by parents John and Angelina ( Belaseo ) Allen, sister Carole Jean Beddingfield, and brother William "Bill" Allen, Jr.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebrati on of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. CST at Shephe rd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Crossville, TN with Pastor Andrew J. Abraham officiating. Interment will follow .
