Donald Ray Spires, 73 died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his home.

Donald was born on September 8, 1947 in Newport News, Virginia.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp and supported the Wounded Warrior organization.  Donald was an insurance adjuster and worked many years for State Farm Insurance.  He moved from Texas and Atlanta, Georgia to the Spring City community 15 years ago.  Donald liked to buy old houses to restore and resale .  He was also was a marathon runner.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Beverly Endener and Velma Smith Spires.  He was the last of seven siblings.

Survivors include his husband Boyd Moffett of Spring City and his half-brother Chuck Ferris of Newport News, Virginia.

There will be no services or visitation.
