Don E. Moffett age 66 of Spring City died Thursday , April 28, 2022 at the Rhea County Medical Center.

He was born on March 10, 1956 and was a lifetime resident of Spring City.  Don was a graduate of Spring City High School, Class of 1974 and Roane State Community College.  He retired from TVA after 30 years.  Don loved sports and was an avid Tennessee football and men's baseball fan.  He also enjoyed the Ice Bear Hockey Team in Knoxville.  When Don was younger, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.

Don was preceded in death by his father Edd Moffett.

Survivors include his mother Sue Moffett of Spring City, his brother Tim Moffett of Granite Falls, NC, his sister Pam (Ray) Robbins of Spring City, his nieces Autumn Moffett and Brittainny Bonnette and his nephews Jared Moffett and Trevor Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church.
