Dennis Kendel age 90 of Spring City died on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on February 25, 1933 in Denmark to the late Holger Peter and Hjørdis Gunhilde Kendel. Dennis moved to the United States when he was in his 20's and worked as a physical therapist in various states until settling in Michigan and retiring there. He has lived in this area for three years. Dennis was an accomplished musician, playing several instruments by ear. He also enjoyed playing golf. Dennis loved his church, last attending Lookout Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Dennis is also preceded in death by his brother Preben Kendel.

Survivors include his wife Cheralyn Kendel of Spring City, Tennessee; his daughters Kim (Jeff) Rose and Gaye (David) Krzoski both of Spring City, Tennessee; his brothers Bent (Ella) Kendel and Hans (Inger) Kendel both of Norway and Ole (Birthe) Kendel of England; his sister Solveig Larsen of Denmark; his five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Elder Gus Paulin officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
