Dennis R. Cox age 70 of Dayton, Tennessee died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on May 23, 1952 in Blue Jay, West Virginia and moved to Tennessee in 1976. Dennis was a graduate of Shady Springs High School. He worked as a concrete superintendent for Fulmer Concrete and retired after 30 years . Dennis loved playing golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking, playing the guitar, and doing things with his grandsons. He was of the Baptist faith.

Dennis is precede d in death by his parents Hersha l Delmas and Ethel Elizabeth Lilly Cox, and his brother Gary Wayne Cox.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Patricia Cox of Dayton, Tennessee; daughter Christie (Gary) Burchard of Dayton, Tennessee; brothers Delmas (Margie) Cox of Beckley, West Virginia, James (Jackie) Cox of Summersville, West Virginia, Charlie (Terri) Cox of Mocksville, North Carolina, and Homer (Valarie) Cox of Shady Springs, West Virginia; grandchildren Tyler Richard Martin and Christopher Blake Martin.

Funeral se rvices will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Ruehling officiating. Interment will follow in Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
