Obituary

Delor is J. Ward, 89, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at The Bridge in Rockwood.

Born in Ohio, Delor i s was the daughter of the late Phillip T. "P. T." and Elizabeth Myers Weaver.  A native of Knoxville, Delor is and her late husband Rev. Lynton Ward lived in several different places during their ministry.  She was a member of the Rockwood Church of God of Prophecy. Delor i s was a member of "The Cracked Pots" bible study prayer group and was heavily involved in local church's outreach programs. She loved to q uilt and do jigsaw puzzles.  Delor i s was a "people pers on"; she loved to help people and be around others. She also loved to sing . Delor i s was the 6 th of 10 children.

Those also preceding her in death are her daughter Linda Adams and several brothers and sisters .

Survivors include her children Libby (Roy) Massengale of Oliver Springs, Tennessee and Doug (Kathy) Ward of Spring City, her brother Charlie Weaver of Spring City, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Massengale, Rev. Jack Norris and Rev. Charles Shepherd officiating.  Interment will be Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Madisonville Church of God Prophecy Cemetery in Madisonville.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
