Obituary

Craig Manley age 73 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga after a long battle with ALS.

He was born on April 26, 1952 to the late Albert and Marjorie Newman Manley and was a lifetime resident of the area. Craig was a graduate of Spring City High School "Class of 1970". After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Once he completed his service, Craig became a member of the Local #43 and worked as a welder and pipefitter for Tennessee Valley Authority where he was given the nickname "The Piddler" and was instrumental in the completion of Watts Bar Unit 2. Craig loved living on the lake and enjoyed swimming, skiing, and working on cars, boats and anything mechanical. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee.

Craig is preceded in death by his brothers Rich and Micah Manley.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years Annette Frye Manley of Maryville, Tennessee; his brothers Jay (Barbara) Manley of Dayton, Tennessee and James (Sharon) Manley of Georgia; his sister Janna Goins of Evensville, Tennessee; his special nephews and nieces Jayson (Beverly) Manley, Kristi Price, Marty (Denise) Manley, and Tara (John) Vaughn, and other great nieces and nephews.

The family will have a gathering of friends on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
