Cora Ann Fugate, 80, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Golden Years Retirement Resort in Spring City.

A lifetime resident of Rhea County, Cora Ann was the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Phillips Wiggins. She was a graduate of Spring City High School, Bryan College and Tennessee Tech.  Cora Ann was a teacher for the Rhea County Department of Education and retired in 1999 after teaching for 27 years . She was a member of the National Education Association.  Cora Ann loved to sew, especially quilts.  She was a member of the High Point Baptist Church.

Cora Ann was preceded in death by her husband Stewart Bruce Fugate and brother Quinton Wiggins.

Survivors include her sons Felix ( Sharon ) Fugate of Spring City and Ray ( Shelley ) Fugate of Dayton, brother Bill Wiggins of Spring City, sister Thelma "Susie" Stalvey of Spring City, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Fri day, January 11 , 2019 at 3:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev . Paul Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Fri day from 1:00 p m to 3:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home.
