Christine H. Vaughn, 94 of Dayton died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County.

Born on September 2, 1926 in Birchwood , TN, Christine was a lifetime resident of Rhea County.  She was a graduate of Birchwood High School and moved to Rhea County in 1944. Christine owned and operated Richland Park Shopping Center in Dayton together with her family for many years. She was a member of the New Union Baptist Church and was always very involved; teaching Sunday School and bible study classes. Christine was actively involved with P.R.E.C.E.P.T. Bible Studies as long as her health allowed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Cora Hayes Harris, her husband James W. "Bill" Vaughn, her son John Vaughn, her brothers Hayes and Harold Harris and her s ister s Ida Maxine Harris and Gertrude Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Vaughn of Dayton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton with the Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating.  Interment will be in the Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
