Chester E. Pendleton Sr . , 83 , died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home.

A lifetime resident of Spring City , Chester was the son of the late Frank and Mary Lemons Pendleton.  He retired from Sherwood Corporation. Chester was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church in Evensville.  He loved antique tractors and enjoyed restoring them.

H e was preceded in death by his wife Betty L. Pendleton, brother Bert Pendleton and sisters Margaret Mathis and Geneva Gann.

Survivors include his children Pat Hamby and Wanda (Ray) Fine both of Spring City, Kathy (David) Harrell of Kingston, Tennessee , Martha Hill of Rockwood, Tennessee , Chester (Cathy) Pendleton Jr of Dayton and Michael Pendleton of Athens, Tennessee, sister s Myrtle Turner of Greenfield, Indiana, Jane Pendleton of Spring City, Carol Barzyk of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Ella May Bell of Spring City, brothers Robert Pendleton of Dayton, Glen Pendleton of Indiana and Bill Pendleton of Woodbury, Tennessee, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sun day, July 22 , 20 18 at 3:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends Sun day from 1:00 p m to 3:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home .
