Cheralyn R. Kendel age 80 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on September 2, 1944 to the late DeVere and Lucille Cook Gallup and has been a resident of this area since 2020. Cheralyn grew up in Michigan. She received part of her education at Greenville College and received her Master's Degree at the University of Michigan. Cheralyn taught school for 45 years. She loved to read, embroidery, and do needlepoint. Cheralyn was a member of a singing trio for many years at her church in Michigan.

Cheralyn is also preceded in death by her husband Dennis Harold Kendel, and her sister-in-law Diana Gallup.

Survivors include her daughters Kim (Jeff) Rose and Gaye (David) Krzoski both of Spring City, Tennessee; her sister Judy (Jim) Sutherland of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her brother David Gallup of Longwood, Florida; her five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
