Charles Robert Reid, 68, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Cairo, Illinois, Charles graduated from Cairo High School and attended UT-Martin.  His home residence was Spring City, Tennessee for the past 41 years.  Charles spent many years in construction which took him to jobs in various parts of the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents George L. and Virginia Parker Reid and a brother and a sister.

Survivors include his loving wife Carolyn Gray Reid of Spring City, brother-in-law Gary (Nancy) Gray of New Ulm, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

His body was cremated.  A graveside service at the Spring City Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date.
