Charles Dye age 76 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Friday, July 14, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 31, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee. Charles was a graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis. He moved to Ohio and worked 30 years for the Ford Motor Company. After his retirement in 1975, Charles and his family moved to Rhea County. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Dayton Golf & Country Club. Charles enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and watching Braves baseball. He was of the Christian faith.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife Janine Dye, father and stepmother Robert and Marilyn Dye, and stepfather Burnan B. Decker.

Survivors include his mother Nell Decker of Memphis, Tennessee; children Scott Dye of Overland Park, Kansas, Jeannie (Gary) Kramme of Camp Verde, Arizona, Christopher (Jessica) Kvatek of Fowlerville, Michigan, Kelly Stahlke of Knoxville, Tennessee and Amy Fox of Grandview, Tennessee; sister Roxanne Dye; brothers Robert Dye, Rick Dye, and Mike Dye; grandchildren Emily, Alex, Cayden, Brianna, Cayce, Jacob, and Karsen; and two great grandchildren.

There will be no funeral services or visitation.
