Casey Allyson Butler, age 47, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at her residence in Dayton, Tennessee. She was born on August 4, 1974 and was a resident to this area for six years. Casey attended Bryan College after graduating from Clinton High School. She finished her college work at Mississippi College with a degree in Biology. Shortly after graduating from MC she decided to go to Thailand to help in an orphanage. In a few weeks she was headed halfway around the world. She grew very close to many of these children but especially to Apple and Cherry, twin sisters. After coming home she worked at several jobs, but Thailand was on her mind. So, as was her habit, she started plans to go back. This time she was to teach English in a Christian boarding school. After marrying John and then becoming a mother she was devoted to homeschooling and caring for her family in many ways.

Casey and John were also foster parents for a time and worked as house parents at Palmer Home. Most recently she was employed at Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System in Dayton, Tennessee as a Family Support Specialist. Casey was a member at New Union Baptist Church in Dayton, Tennessee.

Casey is survived by her husband John Butler of Dayton; parents Vic and Paula Brown of Clinton, Mississippi; children Nathaniel Butler and Allyssa Butler both of Dayton; sister Shelly Brown of Clinton, Mississippi; brothers Andrew (Leanne) Brown of Clinton, Mississippi and Carter Brown of Birmingham, Alabama ; and two nieces Anna and Natalie Brown of Clinton, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Wright-Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi . Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9 to 11 AM.
