Carole Sue (Simpson) Brown age 81 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her residence.

She was born March 30, 1942 to Mr. Wallace Duffie and Mrs. Nellie Mae Simpson in Spring City, Tennessee. She had to adjust quickly to the lack of modern day medical treatment. She developed an infection known then as "lockjaw" from a splinter of wood. Sent home with a very low chance to live, Carole fought off the infection and recovered to later go on as an adult, graduate High School, get married, dedicate herself to the times accepted tradition of "Home is where the heart is". Her late husband George devoted forty plus years to boiler making and unwavering devotion to her and home.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband George Brown, two sisters Leone Farmer and Ora Elkins, brothers Dean Simpson, Leroy Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, and Gary B. Simpson.

Carole is survived by her brother Jerry B.(Linda) Simpson.

As per her request, there will be no visitation and no memorial service at this time.
