Brenda Shadden, 62 of Evensville died Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on September 17, 1959, s he was a lifelong resident of this area and the daughter of the late Charlie and Dolly Letner Riggs. Brenda graduated from Rhea County High School and worked for 34 years at La-Z-Boy until her retirement. She loved t o play Bingo, watch scary movies and go through haunted house s . She love d all of the holidays; but , Halloween was her favorite. Brenda was a great cook; especially baking sweet things for her family.

Brenda was also preceded in death by her brothers Paul, Midge, Bobby , Frankie and Bill Riggs and her sisters Helen Houston, Linda Grogan and Nina Jo Riggs.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years Earl Shadden Jr. of Evensville , her son Brian (Sandra) Shadden of Dayton and her sister Wanda Grogan also of Dayton, three grandchildren Ethan Murphy, Serena Tallent and Jaxon Skiles and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Brenda will be Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Minister Steve Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home Sunday from 3 to 5 PM.
