Obituary

Bradley Kyle Jenkins went to be with his Lord and his dad on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

Born at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital on December 18, 1965, Brad had fought a hard fight for eight years or more but his heart just gave out.  He passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after undergoing surgery for PAH.  He knew the risk, but was willing to take the chance for a normal life.

Brad had a quick wit, he was always trying to make others feel at ease when he was around them.  Brad was a very special person. He was saved and baptized at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Middle Valley in September, 1976.  Brad was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church at the time of his death.  He went to school at Gann's Middle Valley Elementary School, Spring City Elementary and Rhea County High School from where he graduated in 1984.  Brad also attended Chattanooga State.  He was an all-star baseball player at Middle Valley in the 1970's.  Brad loved playing baseball, his dad helped coach some of the teams that Brad played for.  While at Rhea County High School, he was in the ROTC program.  He was Captain of "C" Company.  They (the team) were given battalion honors in March, 1983 for a "fine display of leadership and teamwork".

Brad was preceded in death by his loving father Stanley, grandparents Ben and Hazel Jenkins and Bill and Viola Wright and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survived by mother Nancy, his faithful and loving brother and his wife, Greg and Beth, his nieces and nephews that were all special to him and many special friends including Linda and Bud that he worked with.  He loved his cats Misty and Reagan.  Brad will be missed by all.

Funeral services are Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church.
