Blanche R. Starring, 89 died Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Regency House Assisted Living in Hixson.

Born on August 21, 1930 in Meigs County, Tennessee , Blanche was the daughter of the late Charlie "Pop" and Nannie Daniels Ray. She was a homemaker .  Blanche loved to sew and made her children's clothes . She was a member of the Hixson First Baptist Church .  Blanche was also a member of The Grace Sunday School Class ; whose friendships extended beyond the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. Starring, grandson Chad Starring, sister Betty McCarter and brothers Neal Ray and Arthur "Ott" Ray.

Survivors include her children Donna (Roger) Smith of Chattanooga , Bliss (Joe) Reburn of Hixson , Mike (Peggy) Starring of Chesterfield, Virginia , Allen (Darlene) Starring of Woodstock, Georgia and Scott (Paula) Starring of Hixson , sister Wanda Pittman of Dayton and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral service is Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Stebbins Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
