Betty S. Yarbrough age 81 of Sweetwater, Tennessee died on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was born on September 10, 1942 in McCaysville, Georgia to the late Lush and Nellie Queen Payne. Betty grew up and attended school in McCaysville. She moved to this area from Atlanta, Georgia in 1976. Betty enjoyed watching old westerns, cooking, watching birds, and growing flowers. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle in Sweetwater.

Betty is also preceded in death by her brothers Eddie Payne and Bill Payne, and her sister Shirley Fortner.

Survivors include her husband Daniel Yarbrough of Sweetwater, Tennessee; her children Nathan (Angie) Yarbrough of Loudon, Tennessee and Sheri Holec of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her sister Willa Mae Lanham of McCaysville, Georgia; and her three grandchildren Ashley Yarbrough, Gavin Holec, and Jullianna Holec.

There will be no services or visitation.
