Betty J. Neal age 80 of Spring City, Tennessee died Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was born on November 24, 1942 and was a lifetime resident of the area. Betty was a graduate of Meigs County High School. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty also loved to read. She was of the Baptist faith.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Bill Neal, her mother Florence Newman, her brother Popeye Newman, and her sister Helen Kunkel.

Survivors include her children B.J. Neal, Rick Neal, Brandon Neal, and Jeff Newman all of Spring City, Tennessee, and Tim Newman of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her adopted daughter Cary Coleman of Decatur, Tennessee; her favorite daughter-in-law Danielle Pritchett of Spring City, Tennessee; her companion Ruben Daniels of Spring City, Tennessee; her special fur baby "Gracie"; her twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Smyrna Cemetery with Rev. Justin Dannel officiating. There will be no visitation.
