Betty Jane Fisher age 73 of Spring City, Tennessee died Friday, October 28, 2022 at Rhea County Medical Center.

Betty Jane was born on February 23, 1949 and has been a lifetime resident of this area. She was a graduate of Spring City High School, class of 1967. Betty Jane later attended business school i n Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist C hurch where she played as the church organist for 60 years and was the treasurer. Betty Jane served on many boards in the community including the Spring City High School Alumni Committee and the Spring City Little League Sports. She also worked in the Rhea County school system as an aid and substitute teacher.

Betty Jane is preceded in death by her husband Harold Fisher, and her parents Wallace and Aileen Alley Porter.

Survivors include her children Be thany (Chad) Hughes and Brittany (Curtis) Dean both of Spring City, Tennessee and Aaron (Terri) Fisher of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren Chandler and Chase Horton, Keyli Hickey, Lauren Fisher, Jack Simmons and Matthew Fisher ; great-grandchildren Rowan and Ramsey.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Wolf Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the church. She will be buried in Spring City Memorial Garden on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Wolf Creek Baptist Church , 5225 Wolf Creek Road, Spring City, Tennessee 37381.
